Our March Box: Patience and Persistence
Patience & persistence…two words that are very hard to master! And yet both are required for growth. As spring approaches, our March box helps you reflect on your spiritual growth with God. What truths are blossoming in your life? What needs to be trimmed and discarded? Your gifts this month have been prayerfully curated just for this theme.
Tea/Coffee: A good cup of tea requires time to steep, and a delicious coffee needs time to brew. It’s easy to want to rush a process, but some things require time to get the best result. God builds character traits in us that manifest over time. You might pray for patience, but it will take daily intentionality and reliance on the Lord to achieve it. Success normally doesn’t happen in a minute and neither does a good cup of Joe! Trust God in the process that he is developing something great in you!
Tote Bag: Are you carrying a heavyweight and feel like giving up? Is your striving causing you to feel weary? Be encouraged by Romans 5:3-5, which states: Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us (NIV).

Flower Pot & Seeds: If this isn’t the perfect demonstration of patience and persistence, I don’t know what is! As you bury these seeds, think about the words of God being planted in your heart. What attributes are you working on in your life? Perhaps I hit the nail on the head, and you really are trying to be more patient! But maybe you also are striving to be loving, kind, or generous. As you take hold of God’s word and plant it into the soil of your heart, it’s important to be persistent in watering it and placing it in the light. As you pray, interact with God’s people, and do work as unto the Lord, you are able to make this seed grow. It will require patience, but the Lord is with you!
“Blessed” Notepad: Do you ever just jot down a quick thought to remember later in the day? I do! It’s easy to get distracted by the requirements of life. Write down your thoughts on this little notepad so that you can turn your attention to the task at hand. Staying focused requires patience, and I want to help equip you to stay on track!
Journal & Pen: Journaling is a wonderful way to mark your progress. As you persevere through trials or strive to accomplish a goal, writing out your experience is a wonderful way to document your journey and help your future self (and possibly future generations) see what hard work can achieve. Life lessons learned through these growing moments are invaluable.... document them!
Bookmark: I wanted to include this bookmark to remind you that it’s okay to have to mark your place and come back later. Our world is such a fast-paced environment, it can be hard to take time to pause. It’s okay to pause–be patient with yourself and be blessed
